Professor Mimi Yang is multilingual and multicultural in Chinese, English, Spanish, and Portuguese. She earned her B.A. from Beijing University, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Arizona.
Before coming to Carthage in 1996, Prof. Yang was a visiting assistant professor of Spanish at Illinois Wesleyan University. She also has held teaching posts at the University of Arizona and Randolph-Macon Woman's College and was a Dartmouth/Dana Fellow in Spanish at Dartmouth College. She joined the Carthage faculty in 1996 and became a full professor in 2009. Read more.
