Kevin Wood earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Colorado in 1995 and a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from DePaul University in 1998, where he studied with Mark Ridenour of the Chicago Symphony. He has performed with the Kenosha Symphony as their second trumpet since 2000, and in February of 2004 was appointed second trumpet of the Racine Symphony Orchestra.
Around Chicagoland, he has performed with The Chicago Sinfonietta, the Elgin Symphony, the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Light Opera Works and the Millar Brass Ensemble. Mr. Wood has also performed with orchestras in Colorado, Michigan and Monterrey, Mexico. An active teacher, Mr. Wood is also on the faculty of Harper College.
