Professor Christopher Lynch earned his B.A. from St. John's College, and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Chicago's Committee on Social Thought. He held a Bradley Postdoctoral Fellowship at Boston College and taught at the University of Dallas Rome campus. As an Olin Junior Faculty Fellow, he completed his translation and interpretation of Niccolò Machiavelli's Art of War, published by the University of Chicago Press in 2003, and began work on Machiavelli on War, his comprehensive treatment of the subject, on course for completion in 2012.
Prof. Lynch served as a Senior Advisor at the United States Department of State in 2006-2007, and served on the faculty of the Hertog Political Studies Program in Washington, D.C., in 2011. He joined the Carthage faculty in 2000. Read more.
