Amareshwar Singh earned his Ph. D. and Master’s in Biochemistry and worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada), Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research (San Antonio, Texas), and Northwestern University (Chicago). He then moved up to the ranks of an Assistant Professor, Research at the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Biological Chemistry, Northwestern University, where he characterized signaling mechanisms in bone cells. He then moved to the Department of Medicine at Northwestern University and has been working on Nanotechnology related therapeutic options against lymphoma cancer.
Dr. Singh published his research in major journals and presented his work in scientific meetings in U.S. and abroad. He reviews research articles to a number of scientific journals mainly in the area of nanotechnology. He mentored a number of undergraduate and high school students and medical fellows in cancer research. He has been associated with Carthage College in the Division of Natural Sciences, Departments of Biology and Chemistry, since 2005, when he began teaching here as an adjunct faculty member.
